INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT GYAN BHARATI SCHOOL

15th August, the Red Letter day in the history of India is celebrated at Gyan Bharati School with a difference. We remember this day because it is great be independent. Like every year, this year too ‘ Senior School’ presented a meaningful play with a very strong message on one day and the next day primary department presented a variety of program keeping the spirit of independence alive and strong. The idea was to not only rejoice the day but also make children feel fortunate that they are born in a free country and how important it is to sustain this by following the rules and doing our duties religiously wherever we are.

The little children of class P1 enthralled the audience with a beautiful dance presentation on a medley of patriotic songs. P2 children sent a message of patriotism through character portrayal of famous freedom fighters. P 3 children gave a presentation about our historical monuments/buildings which have seen the tides of time, which was appreciated by all.

A large number of students of P 2- P 5 classes gave a spellbinding performance on the song- Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, encompassing the feeling of ‘unity in Diversity’.

The students of classes P4 andP5 enacted a powerful play about breaking away from gender stereotyping and how it has plagued our society since the past many years. The acting mesmerized the audience.

Our director Mr. R.C. Shekhar, addressed the gathering and spoke about the relevance of the Indian independence.
